EROthots

Laura Geller sells baked foundation and powder, mostly aimed at mature skin, and the shades are the whole problem with buying it online. Baked formulas shift on the skin in a way a product photo cannot show you. I have watched people give up on this brand entirely because the first shade they ordered was wrong and returning it felt like more trouble than it was worth.

Try Before You Buy lets you pick 4 items, keep them 14 days, and pay nothing at the time. A card pre authorization holds the amount rather than charging it. Send back whatever does not work and you pay for what stays.

Against that, 10% off a foundation in the wrong undertone is worth nothing. The codes are still worth understanding though, and a couple of them are better than the one everyone quotes.

40% Plus 10% Is Not 50%

A 65% sitewide discount applies automatically at checkout. EX10 then takes another 10% off that already reduced price.

People read that as 50%. It is not.

List priceAfter 40%After EX10Real total
$30$18.00$16.2046%
$50$30.00$27.0046%
$88$52.80$47.5246%

Stacked percentages always land lower than the sum. 46% is still a strong number, just not the one your head worked out.

The App Code Is Worth More Than EX10

There is a second code, APP, giving 25% on a first mobile app order.

One code per order, so if this is your first time buying through the app, the choice makes itself:

  • APP at 25% beats EX10 at 10% by a wide margin.
  • It works once, on that initial app order only.
  • Test whether it sits on top of the automatic 65% or replaces it, since that detail changes the total.

Email and text signups hand out 15% to 20% codes too. Those beat EX10 as well, and like APP, they fire once.

So EX10 is what you use when nothing better is open to you. Not the one to start with.

Bundles Start From A Lower Number

Baked starter kits and value sets carry base markdowns of 60% to 65% before any code touches them. Run EX10 over a set already cut 65% and the total comes to roughly 68.5%. That is the deepest regular price point on the site.

Flash sales sit in between. Foundation events at 55% and clearance sections at 60% appear on their own schedule, and the stacking behaves the same way on both.

Returning Costs $4.99. Exchanging Does Not

Refunds carry a $4.99 order processing fee. Exchanges are free. And taking store credit instead of cash adds 25% bonus value to the amount.

On a $50 return:

  • Cash refund: $45.01
  • Store credit: $62.50

A $17.49 gap on one product. If you buy from this brand more than once a year, credit is the obvious route.

Shipping Has An Odd Middle Step

Free standard shipping starts at $40. Below that it runs $5.99 on orders under $20, and $7.99 on orders between $20 and $40.

So spending more costs more to ship until you cross $40. A $25 order pays $2 extra over a $19 one.

Nudge a small order up rather than sitting in that middle band. With 40% coming off automatically, reaching $40 at checkout takes a bigger basket than you would think.
