Going to the salon should be a little break away from the day as opposed to something that’s just on your to-do Games list.
The old waiting room system, magazines, a TV doesn’t always provide engaging entertainment, never gave anyone much to do. So we built something different. A gaming room where you and your friends can settle down in and actually enjoy the wait instead of just tolerating it.
Still, it is with laughter, a bit of good-natured competition, and sometimes even a little bit of trash talk that the next cut or manicure is anticipated.
The game room is designed to work whether you’re playing with two other people or brought a full four-person party along. Every game here exists for a reason; what you see below is a description of what games are in here, how they play, and why they’re in here.
Classic Board and Card Games

| Game | Description | Players | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Uno | Match, taking turns to play cards with matching colors and numbers until they are out, is a racing game. Draw Four and Reverse cards turn the game around. | 2-10 | 15-30 min |
| Monopoly | Buy, trade and develop properties to outlast everyone else. | 2-8 | 1-3 hours |
| Codenames | One-word clues, team guessing, a board full of words to untangle. | 4-8 | 15-30 min/round |
But then there’s Uno, which everyone knows, so nobody has to explain the rules twice, and one can easily get through three or four games before a color appointment.
Monopoly is a long game, requiring the full afternoon, the full color and cut, say, rather than just a top-up trim. The trades, the arguing about rent, that’s half the fun.
Codenames rewards a group that enjoys puzzles, and with two teams of players and a spymaster providing a one-word clue, it becomes a fun and justifiable guessing game. Yet because rounds are short, several can be fitted in the average service.
Games for Larger Groups

| Game | Description | Players | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Charades | Act it out, no talking. Reliably ridiculous. | 4-12 | 30 min/round |
| Pictionary | Draw it, have your teammates guess. | 4-12 | 30 min/round |
| Werewolf | As a hidden-role game, villagers and werewolves bluff each other. | 6-20 | 30-60 min |
| Bingo | Mark off your card as numbers are called. First line wins. | 2-20 | 15-30 min |
Charades is the fastest icebreaker on this list; there’s just something about watching people look foolish while trying to convey a concept that seems to make strangers into a group within ten minutes.
Pictionary works likewise, but with bad drawings, so the difference between what was intended to be drawn and what was actually drawn is where most of the humor comes from.
Werewolf’s the much bigger party game, as it’s something with real stakes to it. Bluffing, accusing, defending yourself when you’re actually innocent, it gets loud, and that’s the appeal.
Bingo is the simplest thing in the room, which is exactly what a tired group may need. You can theme the cards, add a small prize for the winner, but that’s all, it still has to be simple.
Charades and Pictionary use a time limit to stop rounds from dragging on, while bingo earn money relies on a prize to provide a reason to pay attention.
Creating the Perfect Atmosphere
The gaming room was meant as a part of the salon with comfortable chairs, pleasant lighting, We’ve also incorporated elements of style and design that reflect the unique character of our salon, and a stack of games that would appeal to almost anyone, rather than as an afterthought stuck on to a waiting area.
Staff will walk anyone through the rules on request, so nobody should have to sit out a game because they didn’t know how it worked.
Online and Video Games at Salon Erothots

And we knew this was one that customers wanted, so we had to add a screen and proper setup for the video and online games.
Any group of humans who like a little mystery will have a great time with Among Us. You and other players are crewmates completing tasks, except for a few impostors. It’s the accusations and the defending yourself afterward where the fun actually lives.
Jackbox Party Pack takes one copy and one phone per player, and it’s the easiest thing here to jump into cold. Trivia, drawing, quick rounds of everything, there’s a version for whoever’s in the room.
In short: online games are fun while waiting in line, and can easily eat up more of someone’s time and attention than they intend if, as is often the case, it becomes more than an occasional thing at home. If this is a concern for someone near you, addiction counseling is a real service, not an arbitrary requirement to fill a section.
Minecraft is a game for a group of people that wants to build something together rather than fight each other. Cities, survival runs, whatever the group feels like that day, it’s collaborative rather than combative, which changes the mood of the room a little bit.
Games for Two Players: Perfect for Best Friends

And sometimes it is just you and another person, and there are options designed for that.
I think chess is an obvious choice for anyone who wants a mental challenge while waiting. There’s no luck involved, just two people trying to outthink each other.
In a two-player mode, Exploding Kittens is the reverse of a game of chess: it’s fast-paced and silly, with the goal to avoid one card. Good for ten minutes before a trim.
Portal 2 (co-op) is for the pair who both game already. Physics puzzles that genuinely require talking to each other to solve, which makes it oddly good bonding material.
If none of these appeal, most of the group games can be played by 2 players with minor rules changes, including Uno. Staff can assist.
More Than Just a Salon Visit

But the wait should be part of the experience, and experience a new level of entertainment during your salon visit not just the service you get at the end. Bring your friends. Pick a game. Let the rest sort itself out.
Salon Erothots is more than just a place for beauty treatments; it’s a destination for fun and camaraderie. So next time you’re with us, gather your group, pick a game, and let the good times roll!
